(1) Pre-pooed with Hair Trigger on my scalp (using Roots Only applicator nozzle, check out my review of it here) and safflower oil on the length of my hair.  (2) Shampooed with Silk Dreams Hair Care Go Moist Shampoo. I usually wash my hair every week but when my intended wash day rolled around, I didn’t have the time I had to push it off… my scalp was not pleased, it was so happy. I can’t remember the last time I’d ever been so happy to get water and shampoo on my scalp.
(3) Tea rinsed using a mix of peppermint tea and green tea. You can read about the benefits of each tea here. (4) I applied Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Daily Treatment for 5 minutes then rinsed. (5) Wrapped hair in towel to absorb all the excess water and then deep conditioned with my Gold N’ Hot conditioning cap with Silk Dreams’ Vanilla Silk Cream Moisture Dream (review here). I’ve had my conditioning cap since 2009 and it’s still going strong. Surprisingly I see more negative reviews than positive ones about this conditioning cap online but I love mine. (6) Wrapped my hair with a cotton t-shirt to absorb the excess water from my hair and let my hair dry a bit for about 30 minutes. (7) Applied leave in conditioner: Silk Dreams Wheat Germ Butter Conditioner and serum: Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum and detangled my hair.

(8) Blow dried my hair with cool air. I normally let my hair air dry but it was late and I didn’t want to wait. I focused on drying my roots and bunned the rest of my hair in whatever state of drying it was in once the roots were dry.

Detangling was easy, lost a small amount of hair after 2 weeks of not detangling my hair once, and my hair was soft and light in the end. I’m hoping every single wash day goes this well… a girl can dream, right? I’m also convinced I prefer my big, air dried hair over all else… well, except roller sets. Wearing my flat ironed hair for two weeks was fun but I missed the fluff and volume my air dried hair has. As for my plan for the week: continue to moisturize and seal daily, buns when I work out, and half up/half down styles when wearing my hair down.
