(1) Pre-pooed with hemp seed oil. (2) Shampooed with Silk Dreams Hair Care Go Moist Shampoo. (3) Tea rinses using mix of CC’s Naturals Marshmallow & Burdock Root tea and green tea. You can read about the benefits of each tea here. (4) Deep conditioning with my steamer using Silk Dreams’ Vanilla Silk Cream Moisture Dream (you can check out my review here). (5) After rinsing out my deep conditioner, I applied Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Treatment for 5 minutes then rinsed. (6) “T-shirt dried” meaning I wrapped my hair with a cotton t-shirt to absorb the excess water from my hair and allow my hair to dry a bit for about 30 minutes. (7) Applied leave in conditioner: Silk Dreams Wheat Germ Butter Conditioner and serum, Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum and detangled my hair.
This was my first time using the Go Moist Shampoo and I like it. My hair had a lot of hemp seed oil in it and Go Moist still lathered up on the first try. It’s a very gentle shampoo that cleaned my hair well, felt great on my new growth, and left my hair soft.
After doing my tea rinse, I was surprised to see how fluffy and soft my hair, especially my new growth – I hadn’t applied conditioner (neither smoothing or deep conditioner) at this point. I tried to capture the fluffiness I had going on before I deep conditioned, the picture below doesn’t do it justice, but hey I tried haha:
One of my goals for the month of March is use my steamer every wash… the only reason I don’t use my steamer often is because I really forget I have it. I keep it in a closet so it’s kind of out of sight, out of mind. My hair felt moist, especially my new growth, after steaming with VSCMD.
I had quite of a few single strand knots and they drove me nuts because my new growth wrapping around other strands was the culprit. I love my new growth, it’s so fun playing in it but I’m not feeling the sore scalp I’m getting when detangling it… yup, I’m that tender-headed; it’s annoying. I was all set to extend my stretch, partly because I’m feeling lazy and partly because my new growth was apparently hiding and I wanted more new growth to avoid overlapping the relaxer, but after dealing with these tangles and my new growth making a star appearance this week, I’ll be sticking to my plan and ending my stretch at 11 weeks post at the end of this week.
