Finally: A Filter For My Shower

I’m very excited. As you know, I have hard water in my apartment and have been meaning to get a water filter for my shower for a while (I moved in in August… ) and finally bought one on Monday. I purchased the Culligan Filtered Showerhead on for $25.00 and with AmazonPrime shipping (free two-day shipping is just awesome) it was delivered today.

I haven’t installed it yet because the wrenches I have do not grip the screw on the shower-head currently installed in my shower, so after I stop by Home Depot tomorrow and get the correct tools, I’ll be able install it. Just call me Handy-Jen 🙂

Product info:

  • Reduces Chlorine and Scale Buildup for a Softer Shower: The Culligan Level 2 Wall-Mount Showerhead offers a refreshing shower experience by reducing harsh chlorine levels and damaging scale buildup. The filtration system removes up to 99 percent of chlorine, as well as the impurities within water that can damage hair follicles and result in dry, itchy scalp. Additionally, by reducing the amount of scale (a hard, filmy residue created by minerals in water), the showerhead is able to give you more of the hydrating nourishment your skin and scalp need.
  • Filter life: 6 months/10,000 gallons
  • Five spray settings

P.S. I’ve committed to limiting my hair buys to one per month but I’m SO tempted to not count this as my hair buy for the month of March… I mean, after all, my skin is going to benefit too 🙂
