Revisiting Organix Coconut Milk Serum

It’s been months since I used this serum. I stopped using it because I predominately use serums when I detangle my hair (e.g. I apply after my leave in when I detangle as I roller set or air dry my hair) and had found that this serum didn’t provide the best slip when detangling (compared to CHI Silk Infusion, PM Super Skinny Serum, or Giovanni Frizz Be Gone) so I simply forgot about it. While visiting my family for Thanksgiving, my mother gave me two bottles that she bought for me when they were on sale because she remembered seeing this in my product stash.

On a whim, I applied a little to the length of my hair one night before I wrapped my hair before bed and then next day I didn’t experience any breakage while combing out my hair for the day. I continued to apply the serum to my hair and was reminded of how great this serum is at halting breakage. Even though I was applying it to my hair every night, never once did my hair feel weighed down, greasy, or stringy from product build up. What’s even better is that it smoothed my strands (I love the feel of smooth hair). This past wash, I applied a little to my hair while it air dried to help decrease breakage because I would be finger combing my hair as it dried and it did the trick. I’ll be using this serum more consistently but that means I’ll be stepping up the moisture to prevent protein overload.

Has anyone else used this serum and experienced its breakage stopping greatness?
