Product Review: Qhemet Biologics Burdock Root Butter Cream

This has been my primary moisturizer nearly a year and only today did I realize there wasn’t a product review up here about it.

Price: $16.00 (8 oz) – I have never purchased this product at full price. I always wait for Qhemet’s Black Friday Sale or the Spring Sale and stock up.

Purchased At:

Promises: “Our Burdock Root Butter Cream is a light, water based leave-in for fine haired naturals, straight styles and those looking for a light penetrating moisturizer. It conditions and softens while nourishing the scalp. Leaves hair healthy, soft, and supple!”

Ingredients: Distilled Water, Olive Oil, Extracts of Burdock Root, Nettle and Oatstraw, MSM Sulfur, Vegetable Glycerin, Wheat Extract, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Conditioning Emulsifier, Vitamin E, Lactic Acid, Maltodextrin, Phenoxyethanol & Ethylhexlglycerin (a paraben-free & formaldehyde-free preservative), Essential Oil Blend.

My Assessment: After nearly a year of use I must say this moisturizer lives up to its promise. I have fine hair and my hair is easily weighed down. I moisturize every other day and by the end of the week my hair isn’t weighed down, I love it. I was so happy I found this moisturizer. It penetrates the hair shaft and I always find my hair soft when I wake up in the morning. The only property I’m not in love with is the scent of the product. It has a citrusy scent and I’m not too found of lemony/citrusy scents. As long as the formula stays the same, lemon scent or not, this will be my staple moisturizer for years.

Oh, and my cousin wanted to be posted up on the blog in support of BRBC, lol…
