Flat-ironed Cousins Hair

I washed and flat ironed my cousins hair last night. I washed with Paul Mitchell Super Strong Daily Shampoo. Next, applied Paul Mitchell Hair Repair Treatment. I love this stuff. Whenever my hair feels out of whack, this seems to get it back on track (I didn’t mean to rhyme). Her hair responded very well to it. I left the treatment in for 3 minutes and then rinsed. Then I applied Roux Porosity Control, 1 minute, rinsed, and had her deep condition for 30 minutes with Aubrey Organics.

I applied PM Awapuhi Moisture Mist, PM The Conditioner (leave-in) and CHI Silk Infusion as leave ins. Basically, I did to her hair what I do to mine mostly every week, and it all worked great, so I’m happy about that. Detangling her hair was a breeze and I saw VERY minimal shedding, not one strand in the comb. I let her hair air dry a bit and then blow dried it using a round brush to add tension to the hair as I blow dried with the nozzle attachment. When her hair was dry, I applied a bit more CHI Silk Infusion and flat-ironed her hair. My flat-iron is about 4 years old and doesn’t get as hot as it used to, so her hair was not as sleek as I would have liked. I never bothered to get a new one because I don’t really use direct heat, but I should probably get one for instances such as these.

Overall, I’m happy with it because we went from this earlier last night:

She was like “noooo do not put this picture up!”

To this, even though my lukewarm flat-iron didn’t get it as sleek as it could get:

She’s happy, I’m content, we’re all good!

Have a fabulous weekend!
