Word to the wise: do not act lazily when it comes to rinsing conditioner from your hair. I was tired last week and did not thoroughly wash all the conditioner out of my hair. I really missed a patch near my left year and a film of conditioner was left on my scalp. I’ve wanted to wash it out since Monday but Monday and Tuesday the hot water was off in my building – it was finally turned back on this morning.
I noticed an increase of shed hairs in my tubs hair catcher. I don’t like the looks of that, I may use a mild protein conditioner on Friday as I think my hair may be a lil over conditioned.
I finally tried a twist out yesterday. I used the same method in the youtube video I posted 2 or 3 posts ago. To stop my ends from unraveling I wrapped the ends round rollers and pinned them to my nape.
I’m happy with results. It’s a good protective style to use for this summer to give my hair a break from styling and from heat. My only complaint is that when I do braid outs my hair takes a while to air dry, it took just as long to dry with this twist out. I twisted my hair around 6pm and when I woke up in the morning it still wasn’t completely dry.
