Chunky Twist Out

Twist out with Shea Moisture & Entwine

**This twist out is from 2 weeks ago. I don’t have a “real” wash day recap of  my wash from this weekend and already posted about my recent perm rod set on blow dried hair on Monday, so I pulled this one out my drafts for wash day Wednesday.

[1] Co-washed with Eden BodyWorks Coconut Shea Cleansing CoWash
[2] Conditioned with Aussie Moist 3 Minute Miracle Deep Conditioner
[3] Hopped out of the shower and wrapped my hair in a t-shirt about 5-6 minutes
[4] Applied Shea Moisture JBCO Leave-In Conditioner first, sealed that in with Entwine Naturalle Couture Total Perfection Argan Oil, then for hold I used Entwine Naturalle Couture Crème Jellé Styler. After detangling with my fingers (the leave-ins provided enough slip to skip using a comb), I put in 10 chunky twists in the back, 16 in the front, and let them dry overnight. After unraveling the twists I gently pulled them down to stretch and fluff out the sections.

  1. YES YES YESSSSS! This twist out is giving me all sorts of life. Your natural hair is beautiful. Keep up the amazing work <3

  2. Beautiful! What are your first impressions of Entwine Couture products? I’m soooo not collecting any more products but *always* curious! lol

Thank you! I really like them. Exotique Leave-In Hair Potion – The Exotique Leave-In Hair Potion has a nice light consistency that reminds of me of gel, provided lots of slip (I didn’t bother using a comb to detangle my hair, just my fingers) and my hair the next morning feels moisturized, soft, smooth, and very light. The only “con” I noticed after one use is that this leave-in has a very perfumey fragrance. Unfortunately, I’m sensitive to strong fragrances. They’re a migraine trigger for me and by the time I’d finished twisting my hair I had a bad one. I doubt I’ll feel brave enough to try this one again.

Crème Jellé Styler – This styler is on the creamy side but still lightweight. I love the hold it provided without making my hair feel crunchy. Unlike the leave-in, it has a soft, pleasant fragrance. I definitely plan on using this styler again.

My “official” review will be up tomorrow!

Hi there! Couple of reasons. My hair shrinks up a lot when dry; I lose about 60/70% of my length to shrinkage, my shrunken hair creates single strand knots, and I’m not really comfortable wearing my hair out in fro at its current length.

      Thank you for the love!
