How Did It Do?

When I purchased conditioners I always buy based on the ingredients, looking for ingredients I know my hair favors like cetyl alcohol, glycerin, steryl alcohol, stearakloniun chloride, and behentrimonium methosulfate (posts to check out: Ingredients 101: Good Alcohols For Hair and How To Choose A Moisturizing Deep Conditioner).

Right after applying SSI Banana Brulee

After checking out the ingredients lists, I was a little wary because I only spotted cetyl alcohol and glycerin so I figured it wouldn’t work as well as I’d hoped but I still decided take the plunge #ILiveOnTheWildSide. I’m so glad I did because I really like this conditioner.

It sinks into my hair on application like a dream. Seriously, it does. I always feel like I’m not using enough.

It provides slip and helps detangle my hair, and moisturizes my hair very well. After rinsing it out, my hair feels very soft, smooth and so moisturized (which lasts the week).

I have a thing for conditioners sticking to my scalp (residue makes my scalp raise holy hell during the week) but thankfully this one rinses out well, does not cling to my scalp, nor does it irritate it (even when I deep condition overnight).

If you’re a longtime reader you’ll know I’m picky when it comes to product fragrances because strong fragrances trigger migraines… this conditioner has a pleasant fragrance and passes the migraine test.

This conditioner does not define my texture as much as SheScentIt Curl Moist Conditioner (my review is posted here), which is fun to see, but I prefer it to the Curl Moist Conditioner because it provides more moisture. I  definitely plan to repurchase the bigger jar.

HAVE YOU USED THIS CONDITIONER? LIKED IT? LOVED IT? LEFT IT?
