30 Days of Protective Styling

Now that I no longer have my nose wedged between the pages of bar prep books, I can happily get back to doing things that I enjoy without feeling guilty or overwhelmed… and that includes 30 day challenges! This month’s challenge will focus on protective styling.

Prior to going natural, my go to protective styles were buns and faux bobs, but since February I’ve been relying on marley twists to tuck my hair away until my hair is long enough to once again style in buns and Jay has been using some awesome wigs as protective styles.

MY SIMPLE GOALS THIS MONTH

[*] Continue protective styling with marley twists
[*] Venture out of my comfort zone and see whether I can pull off a bun I feel comfortable in
[*] Share protective styling tips with you

  1. I would have loved to join, but I'm really just enjoying rocking this new TWA. I do use scarves and hats (fashionably) when going out, so I'll incorporate them more often this month. Not exactly protective 'styling' but protecting with styles.

  2. I love this challenge! I don't use wigs or extensions but I'm game for buns and other styles that keep my strands tucked in and protected.
