This has been one my favorite conditioners to pre-poo with over the last couple of months. If you tuned in while I transitioned to natural, you may remember seeing it pop up during my wash day recaps. I loved this as a pre-poo while I transitioned because it made detangling my multiple textures a breeze.
A few of its key ingredients that my hair likes:
- Cetyl alcohol — a fatty alcohol. Fatty alcohols are emollients, they moisturize and condition our hair, and provide slip.
- Glycerin, honey — humectants. Humectants draw moisture into the air.
- Behentrimonium Chloride — plant-based conditioning agent that that softens and helps detangle hair.
- Panthenol — humectant and moisturizing agent.
I recently used this to help revert my flat ironed hair and it worked like a dream. It sunk into my hair and started replenishing my hair with moisture on application. This conditioner also rinses out well and does not cling to my scalp. Lastly, I have left this in overnight, which I’m always wary to do because sometimes I have a finicky scalp, but thankfully this conditioner doesn’t irritate my scalp one bit.
I don’t really have any “cons” for this conditioner (aside from the fact that I wish it was available in a bigger bottle). I’ve gone through about 4 bottles of this stuff since I first started using it months ago.
Have you used this conditioner? Liked it? Loved it? Left it?
