I started off by pre-pooing with HairVeda Vatika Frosting for an hour.
Co-washed with As I Am Coconut CoWash Cleansing Conditioner.
Tea rinsed with a mix of rooibos tea and green tea.
After tea rinsing, I applied HairVeda Sitrinillah Deep Conditioner to my hair in sections, making sure I applied it to my new growth and then deep conditioning for an hour under my heating cap.
After rinsing out the deep conditioner, I wrapped my hair in a cotton t-shirt for half an hour.
After removing the t-shirt I applied leave-ins, Komaza Care Matani Leave-In Conditioner and a few drops of Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum to a section of my hair before detangling and blow drying with cold air using the tension method, as seen in this linked picture.
Once my hair was fully detangled, but still slightly damp in some parts, I loosely bunned my hair to air dry.
Once dry my hair felt soft, fluffy, and moisturized. I repeated the same steps/same products as my last wash day in the hopes that I would achieve the same results, and I did. Even though I’m 6 months post relaxer, my hair isn’t a hassle. It was a breeze to detangle my hair with my Magic Star Jumbo Rake and I’m so very happy with how moisturized my hair feels, even after using a protein leave-in conditioner (which has also helped reduce breakage). I’m really smitten with HV Sitrinillah Deep Conditioner. I don’t get a whole lot of slip but the lasting moisture this conditioner pumps into my hair… more please and thank you.
Also, blow drying my hair with cold air using the tension method just might become a weekly thing because keeping my new growth stretched has really reduced the number of tangles and single strand knots I have to deal with during the week.
