It’s month five of my nape challenge, just one more month to go! I’ve kept up with sealing my nape (and my other ends as well) with Organix Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum and I’m still in love with it.
Trimming off 2 inches at the end of November has definitely helped the way the ends of my nape feel and look. If someone told me 4 years ago that I’d eventually enjoy cutting my hair, I’d have called them a liar… but now look at me, secretly looking forward to the next time I trim.
I mentioned in November’s nape challenge check-in that even though I regularly dusted the ends of my nape, I’d still find split ends there. Well I solved the mystery. The shears I was using were years old and I had never sharpened them. They were Conair shears I picked up at CVS for $5 or $6. I replaced them last month and have yet to see a split end since my end of November trim. Which makes me feel silly because I know better. Cutting hair with dull blades is just asking for split end trouble. Shame on me.
Moisture + a bit of protein + tender love and care = my happy nape.
