Last month I was contacted by the Co-Founder of Toji: Pure Density to try out their vitamin and share my results with my JGAers. I had initially made up my mind to decline the offer but after comparing the ingredients to (now discontinued) Nioxin Intensive Therapy Recharging Complex (which is the hair supplement I’ve tried to-date), my curiosity got the best of me because they contain similar ingredients: vitamin A, vitamin C,vitamin D, Thiamine, Riboflavin, Niacin, vitamin B6, folic acid, vitamin B12, biotin, pantothenic acid, zinc, sarsaparilla, stinging nettle root extract, saw palmetto. After hopping online and finding Toji vitamins mentioned many times on LHCF and positive reviews online, I decided to give these a try and share my results with you.

How Toji Pure Density works:

[source]

Nutrition Support: There are a variety nutrients critical to hair health. With pure density’s proprietary 34 ingredient formula we’ve made sure you won’t miss a single one.

Hormonal Support: Hormonal imbalances are a commonly cited reason for hair loss. Pure density uses a combination of herbs and botanicals to provide optimal hormonal support.

Circulation Support: Poor circulation to the scalp means your hair is not receiving the nutrients it needs. Vitamins and herbs in pure density (like niacin and gingko biloba) help support proper circulation.

A breakdown of the ingredients and their benefits is found here.

These vitamins are pricey. They’re available in one month supply (one bottle) for $39.95 and three month supply for $106.95. I have to admit, I think these are best packaged vitamins I’ve ever received.

The suggested use it to take 2 tablets in the morning and 2 tablets at night with food and water. According to Toji, most customers do not see consistent results until month 3 and for best results it’s recommended to take these vitamins continuously for a minimum of 6 months. Toji provided me with a 6 month supply so beginning this month, I will be taking these vitamins for the next six months with monthly check-ins during the first week of every month. The only other vitamin I will continue to take while taking these for the next six months is Women’s One A Day. Because Toji: Pure Density claims to (1) increase growth, (2) thicken hair, and (3) strengthen hair I’ll be tracking changes in those three areas until March.

I hope it goes well!

  1. Jen,
Sooo curious about these vitamins! I await your review. Happy holidays, happy studies, and all that goodness. 🙂

  2. Hi, I just wrote a message because I could not find this comment box! LOL! But DO NOT, DO NOT TAKE THESE VITAMINS! I can provide you with photos, I have natural hair and it is very thick and full, within a month of taking the vitamins, my hair began falling out, no bald patches but just clumps of my hair enough to where there was a mini afro on the side of my sink! The company provided them to me to try prior to carrying them in our salon. Since I did not buy them from amazon, this was the only thread in which I saw them being mentioned/ used actively and wanted to be sure to tell you readers not to use/ purchase them. I do not know the reason but there are many reviews of side effects and excessive hair shedding caused after usage of these vitamins. My hair was initially healthy and I just wanted to add more length, but now I wish I hadn't tried to experiment. In addition, after taking these I waited a few month and my hair stopped shedding/ falling out. I take iron pills but was told by the doctor that iron pills in addition to supplements would not cause hair loss for a month so it may be the vitamins! My hair returned to normal and around late August, I decided to try a different company's supplements thinking that it may have just been the toji. Well the second company I tried was Phyto. I love all of their products and never had any issues with there external or topical products but when I tried the vitamins, again my hair started falling out in clumps in the shower. Phytophanere Dietary Supplement for Hair & Nails. I took these for 2 weeks and now my hair is very damaged and literally see through! I cannot even put it in a ponytail and this is within months. So honestly I would suggest anyone that is thinking of taking these magic supplements based on the countless reviews online reconsider or speak with a doctor first. I assumed that because I am a stylistl, my hair was healthy and that there was only organic ingredients and positive reviews, that it wouldn't do me any harm! WRONG! I now have to wait a few weeks to see a dermatologist and will be more than happy to provide you with what they say with regards to the active and inactive ingredients and instances of myself and the many others online that have posted hair loss/ shedding a result! Anyway love your blog and good luck to your readers!

I'm so so very sorry to hear that! 🙁 I've taken Toji for a month now and haven't noticed any shedding or any side effects, but i'll be tracking and blogging about how these vitamins work over the next 6 months. I'll be praying the dermatologist reports good news for recovery!

      1. Hi Jen, you said you would report back after 6 months. Are you still using the product? Did you have success with it?

  3. Hi Jen! I currently tke toji and have for the last four months. So far I do feel as if my hair is thickening a bit. My growth is still a paltry 1/8" a month though so I'm not sure if these work all that well for me. All the best to you!

  4. I read some reviews which said that the supplements has side effects incl. insomnia, stomach pains and diarrhea. One the other hand some reviews mentioned that they were great. I will wait for your personal review

  5. I have a bottle and the company sent me a free one weeks later!! I haven't been consistant but I need to be

  6. Never heard of them but they look interesting. It'll be good to see how they work for you x

    1. Your natural hair is very pretty! Please DO NOT TAKE Toji Life! They made my hair fall out. Read my comment on justgrowalready.com for more info. Tjamls

  7. Can't wait to hear about your results! I've never heard of Toji. I've been using GNC UltraNourish Hair for eons.

  8. I haven't taken these but I have tried Viviscal. My dermatologist recommended them because I didn't want something that would break me out. I'm on my third month now but I will have to stop using them since they are so expensive ($50 a box!). Were you still taking the GNC Ultra Nourish until you received these new pills? I saw that they were cheap on the GNC website and was interested after I read some good reviews.

No I've been off of GNC UltraNourish for a month. At the end of July I decided to give my system a break from GNC Ultra Nourish (I do that every couple of months with my hair vitamins) so I guess it actually works perfectly that I started these vitamins this month.

  9. Wow these sound pretty interesting!
