Pre-pooed with Hair Trigger on my scalp, coconut oil on the length of my hair. I’ve used coconut oil on the length of my hair for the last 2 weeks because it helps work out any tangles I have before I shampoo my hair.
Tea rinsed using green tea and peppermint tea mix. I kind of want to get new teas to switch it up but this mix has been working very well for me. It feel attached to it lol.
Applied Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Daily Treatment for 5 minutes then rinsed.
Deep conditioned with my steamer using Silk Dreams’ Vanilla Silk Cream Moisture Dream (you can check out my review here). May the ingredients of this conditioner never change because my hair loves it!
Wrapped my hair in a towel for about 30 minutes. When my hair was about 70% dry, I applied my leave ins. I went with a new leave-in conditioner this wash day: Soultanicals Knot Sauce and applied a little bit of Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum. Since I plan on stretching longer than I normally do, I purchased a detangling leave-in conditioner a few weeks ago – Knot Sauce – to help making detangling easier because around 7 weeks post is when working with 3 textures starts getting tricker. So far, I like Knot Sauce. Detangling was a breeze, I was able to finger detangle with this leave-in before turning to my combs, and it left my hair soft and fluffy – not weighed down in the least.
After detangling, I applied aloe vera gel (a post on Smoother Edges Part II coming up soon about this AVgel) to my edges, brushed it in a little, and tied my hair down with a silk scarf to let it hair air dry.
The next morning, my edges were neat, my hair was soft and fluffy, and I was happy.
How was your most recent wash day?
P.S. I haven’t forgotten about the request to record how I detangle. Didn’t feel well when I washed my hair yesterday so I’ll record it next week.
