Overall Assessment
It’s no secret I love PM products. For over a year, PM The Conditioner was my leave-in conditioner of choice. About a month ago though, I ran out of PM The Conditioner and had to grab my bottle of Giovanni Direct Leave-In. I put off purchasing another bottle of PM The Conditioner and continued using Giovanni instead and was pleasantly surprised. My curls from my roller sets were more defined but my hair was left smooth and soft. When my hair has dried, it’s light and bouncy, which I love. It also feels as though Giovanni Direct Leave-In penetrates into my hair better than PM The Conditioner.
For me, Giovanni Direct Leave-In Conditioner wins this head-to-head comparison. It’s an all natural product, strengthens and softens my hair, has a creamy consistency yet still leaves my hair soft and smooth. I’ve been considering making Giovanni my go to leave-in. I’ll continue using it for the next month to note if I notice any overall improvements in my hair.

  1. Thank you! 🙂

No I don't use a conditioning spray. I moisturize and seal with grapeseed oil every night, that gets the job done for me moisture-wise during the week.

  2. I love love love your blog! Quick question, going through what you use on a day to day basis do you use any type of conditioning spray on a daily basis? I've been using Nioxin leave in conditioning spray on a daily and find that my hair is still dry!

    Cynthia 🙂

  3. Absolutely a keeper for me! Melts tangles away. Love it.

  4. Thanks. I actually purchased the PM skinny conditioner….whoa. My hair was like a dream!  A definite keeper.

  5. Hi and thank you!!! Since you're using Aveda Dry Remedy I'm assuming you're looking for a moisturizing shampoo(?), if so, I've tried Kenra Moisturizing Shampoo and really liked it. It didn't leave my hair feeling "over-cleaned." My hair felt hydrated and softened.

  6.  Hi! I adore your blog (your hair is AMAZING)  and I love long hair, which is why I've decided I need to get on a strict regime to continue the health and growth of my hair.
Can you recommend a good shampoo? I can't seem to find a good one. I'm using Aveda Dry Remedy and I am not too happy with it.
