My Assessment: I had purchased these products when I was first starting out on my hair journey and purchased because ladies on the hair boards raved about them, so I went for it and thought my hair would love them too. Wrong. After I rinsed out the shampoo my hair I applied the reconstructor and left in for 5 minutes, rinsed and deep conditioned. Deep conditioning saved my hair a little because after using the K-PAK shampoo and reconstructor, my hair felt so stripped and tangled so easily. It was as if friction between my strands increased. It was dreadful. I usually never regret purchasing a product but I really wish I never picked these two up. Honestly, these products have some many women singing their praises that I think I did something wrong along the way lol. Maybe the bottles I purchased were just old and thus ineffective, who knows. Overall, both products were a miss for me.

 With smiles,

  1. ME TOO!! these products were HORRIBLE.. I have two huge pump containers that I purchased from Ulta that have been sitting in my bathroom closet for over 1 year! Made my hair crunchy and it felt rough – absolutely no slip.

I know, I had high hopes for these two :/

I was eyeing the moisture recovery balm online, looks very tempting!

  3. Wow, that's a shame, I absolutely love Joico. I've never used the shampoo but the K-Pak Reconstructor works really well for me and the Moisture Recovery Balm leaves my hair feeling like silk!!!
